On the 14th April 2020, Phoenix Performers Leaders gathered together online to have a leaders meeting. During this meeting leaders discussed how we can support our members during this difficult and unprecedented time.
One of the topics that was discussed during the meeting was how Phoenix Performers can engage with members further. One of the ways discussed was using Facebook Groups for different age groups.
We’ve created two new Facebook groups, one for the members and parents/guardians of our Chicks and Kestrels (aged 4-9) and one for our Falcons & Eagles (aged 10-18).
In these groups you’ll be kept up to date with information relevant to your young person’s age group. The groups are private, which means only the members (which have to be approved by a leader before joining) can see what’s been posted.
The groups are a place for us to provide you with information relevant to your young person’s age group. The groups also act as an opportunity for you as parents/guardians to chat with other parents, share costume ideas and ask any questions you may have. All of our leaders are in the groups, so hopefully one of us will be able to help.
During the lockdown we will be keeping you all up to date with any news that we have regarding when we’ll be returning. Next week we’re trialling virtual workshops with our youth members. We hope that these workshops will be successful, and we can then roll them out to all age groups. You can read more about that here, https://wp.me/p8zAB8-3K7 .
If during this unprecedented you need any support from Phoenix please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can email us at contactus@phoenixperformers.com.
